One Piece Article: Luffy x Nami ~ Love Story (2023)

Do I like it or not? These words run through the minds of many people wondering if they really are falling in love with what they think is a couple of idiots. For Nami, it's been really hard for her. A thief, a navigator and, of course, an enemy of pirates who, after all, is a pirate. For Nami, love has never been so easy for her. He's wondering if he likes the stupid retarded captain, Monkey D. Luffy. Well, sure he saved her many times, but does he really like it? Or will he like your back? Now this is his story, about how the smart sailor met the stupid but nice captain.

The first time Nami encounters Luffy is when he suddenly falls out of the sky and lands on the ground between her and some men. Of course, Luffy defeated them all to save Nami. I'm sure Nami is grateful he saved her ass and asks him to join her in raising money. Luffy refused to work with a pirate thief, because he is a pirate himself. But Luffy admires his skill and asks her to join him. Nami herself refuses to work with something she mostly hates pirates. Pirates are one of the things I hated the most. After admiring Luffy and Zoro's strength, Nami temporarily joins them just to get money. Seeing that if you join them, you'll make a lot of money anyway.

After defeating Buggy the Clown, Nami is very grateful that Luffy saved her twice. She didn't expect him to do this, but he did. Why? Because you need. Not just because she's a girl or her navigator, but because she's starting to become friends with her. One of the things Luffy hates the most is seeing his friend get hurt. A few days passed after Luffy, Nami and Zoro left the town where they fought Buggy's team and Nami started to get along with Luffy and Zoro. Although she really didn't want to join them, she believes that they really need someone to take care of them. And she's the one who does it.

Landing on a mysterious island where a man named Gaimon is trapped in a treasure chest, Nami sees Luffy as a friendly person after all. He became friends with Gaimon very easily and thinks that no matter how weird people are, he thinks it's what's on the inside that counts. Of course Nami has never seen someone so friendly, making friends so easily. After a short break, Luffy agreed to help Gaimon retrieve his treasure chests. She thinks it's really cool of her to do that. Luffy himself, a pirate, steals from another pirate, do not steal Gaimon's treasure. But a shock threatens when she refuses to return Gaimon's treasure chests. Gaimon knows from the start that those treasure chests are all empty. The only reason Luffy refused to return Gaimon's treasure chests is because he doesn't want to break Gaimon's heart by discovering that the chests are all empty. This is another shock phenomenon for Nami. Luffy will do something like that because he doesn't want people to get hurt. Nami again saw another nice gesture from Luffy. So Luffy asked Gaimon to go with them because Luffy really likes Gaimon. Unfortunately, Gaimon refused, as he preferred to stay on his island and take care of the unusual animals. Luffy understands and leaves the island. Soon Nami realizes that not all pirates are as bad as she thought. After all, some pirates are good, like Luffy and Gaimon.

Landing at Usopp's village brought Luffy, Zoro and Nami to yet another adventure, they need to take a ship. But a man named Clahadour, also known as Kuro, threatens Usopp's dear friend Kaya and her entire village. Luffy, who befriends Usopp, helps him in his fight against Kuro and his group of pirates. Nami thinks it's really cool of him to do that, even though she's only known Usopp for a short amount of time. When Kuro said that he would kill all of his pirate members after defeating Luffy, Luffy angrily shouted:

"How do you take your friends?"

Nami, of course, is surprised to hear this. Luffy cares a lot about his friends. Nami never meets someone who cares too much about her friends.

After finding a boat and a new crew member, things went very smoothly. Nami is really enjoying the time everyone else has, she's never had friends before. Everything went so well for her to spend a relaxing time, especially with someone she loved more than anything as a friend and with some people who see her as a great friend. But things turned good when she saw the face of the pirate that haunted her childhood and took the life of someone she loved dearly. Remembering her duty to save her village and her mother's soul, Nami was forced to let go of the people who loved her as friends in order to save her village. Hoping that the fish-man pirate Arlong will release her after she has done her duty, she wants to reunite with her friends. But will they take her back? Unexpectedly, it was Luffy who wanted her back all along. Why? Is it because you need it or want it? It's for the two of us. He needs her and he wants her. Unfortunately, Nami is going out of her way to let go of the people she cares about because she already belongs to Arlong. And she doesn't want anyone to continue her business. Forced to leave her friends behind, Nami was tricked by Arlong into being her slave forever. The enraged Luffy comes and stops Nami from stabbing herself even deeper. Luffy watched as he first saw Nami crying very sadly in front of him and asking for help. Luffy and his team obviously went to free Nami from Arlong's clutches. Luffy landed the first blow on Arlong as he imagined Nami crying in his head, making him angry. And he says,

"How dare you make Nami cry!"

Arlong gets up from Luffy's punch and throws Luffy into the sea, drowning him. As Usopp, Zoro and Sanji fight off the rest of Arlong's crewmate, Nami recovers and goes to help fight Arlong. There he arrived and betrayed Arlong as per their agreement, bringing Luffy back at the same time as the battle. Nami's loyalty to her villagers and friends gives Luffy the strength to fight and defeat Arlong. Luffy, finally coming face to face with Arlong, is very angry upon learning that Arlong only used Nami because she is a map-making tool for him. Luffy madly destroys Arlong Park and the room where Nami is trapped along with Arlong and his crew, freeing her and her village.

Not long after the Arlong incident, Nami finally decided that she likes Luffy. Thanks to his unbelievable strength and kindness, Nami felt something deeper towards the captain. But she is too shy to tell Luffy her true feelings and reacts to him with lots of punches and kicks. When they finally arrived at the Grand Line and promised to bring Princess Vivi back to her country, it brought out a bit of jealousy in Nami. Well, she likes the girl since it's nice to have another woman on the ship, but what if Vivi really likes the captain? Nami was very sad when she saw that Luffy started being nice to her, she blamed herself for not treating Luffy better. So after that, Nami treated Luffy a little better and tried her best not to hit or kick him. After all, she reminded herself that she likes him for more than just friends. Arriving in Little Garden, Nami was at first saddened to learn that the pirate groups that attacked Vivi's country, the Baroque Works, defeated him. But Nami didn't lose faith in him when she got caught in Mr. 3. And as a result, Luffy comes to life and saves them all from Mr. 3.

After everyone leaves Little Garden, Nami becomes ill. Luffy is very worried when he learns that Nami is sick. He was also very sad when he learned that there was a possibility that Nami would die. He screamed in fear and began to worry and demand a doctor. And that takes them to the Drum Kingdom. A winter island with a very big mountain and a single doctor. Luffy will obviously do anything for the sake of his friends. He picked up Nami and took her to the top of the mountain to find a doctor. Along the way Sanji got hurt and of course he had to save him too. When he reached the top, he coldly demanded that Dr. Kureha save Nami and Sanji. Your first objective upon arriving there is to save Nami from her illness, not Sanji. Sanji gets hurt along the way, so he brings him back to heal him as well. That was the only time Luffy and Nami's body are closer together. Their bodies had never been this close before. But Luffy likes it anyway that Nami clings to him and trusts him to save her. Nami really likes having Luffy around. She really likes him so of course she enjoys having him around. Nami was overjoyed when she learned that Luffy climbed the mountain to save her. She might have a chance for them to get to know each other. But first he wouldn't focus on that and focus on how to bring Vivi back to his country.

After finding a new member, Doctor Chopper, they all head to Alabasta and save the country from Vivi. There, Luffy and the rest of his team fight Baroque Works and its leader, Crocodile.

After a tough battle against Baroque Works, Luffy and his team decided to rest in Vivi's palace. Luffy's fight against Crocodile made Vivi very happy. He fights and tends to defeat him for Vivi's sake. Thus bringing a little jealousy to Nami. But despite that, Luffy fought Arlong for her, so that calmed Nami down a bit. Anyway, after the battle against Crocodile, Luffy fell asleep for three days straight. Nami is worried about Luffy and hopes he wakes up soon. She even offered to watch Luffy while he slept, but Vivi feels responsible for him and does so. Nami just hopes Vivi doesn't go too far.

When Luffy wakes up, Nami is happy to see him well, alive and active. As the Straw Hat team has their giant party at Alabasta's formal dinner table, Nami couldn't be happier to see Luffy happy again. Nami can't take it anymore and plans to tell him about her feelings after they leave Alabasta. But something happens to Luffy that he really didn't expect to happen.

After the big dinner, Luffy went back to his room to rest after eating. Luffy lies in bed for a while wondering if Vivi will go with them or stay here in Arabasta. From what he thought, he freaked out because Usopp entered the room.

"Hey Luffy, come on, let's go shower with the others", said Usopp.

"Yeah, just a minute Usopp," Luffy said while still looking at the ceiling.

"Okay," Usopp left the room with a towel in his hand.

Luffy still looks at the ceiling and then starts thinking about Vivi. But then another face appeared in his head, Nami's face. Sure, he'd liked her since she'd joined them. Luffy's feelings for Nami grow stronger after she starts to care for him and the rest of the crew. She hated the way Arlong treated her like a slave. Nami is a human being and a lovely girl. Someone like her should be treated with complete respect and concern. Luffy's thoughts kept wondering if Nami liked him or not. But her image hit him and he kicked it many times breaking Luffy's heart. He's starting to get sad and sad now. Then came another knock on the door.

"Come in," Luffy replied as he knocked on the door.

The door opened, Luffy looked at the door to see...

"Oh hi Vivi, what are you doing here?" Luffy asked.

The blue-haired princess replied, "I was looking for you. Usopp-san said you're here."

Luffy sat up from the bed and asked, "What do you want from me?"

Vivi walked over to Luffy and sat next to him on the bed. "Well, Luffy, I was just going to..."

Luffy looked at her confused, she looked nervous. He starts to sweat a little and doesn't seem to know what to say. Luffy asked her, "What's wrong, Vivi? Is something wrong?"

"I have something to say but I don't know how to say it?" Vivi said still nervous.

Luffy is desperate to know and find out. "What is it? Tell me? If you don't know how to say it, can you at least express it or something?"

Vivi looked at Luffy and then approached his face and kissed him directly on the lips.

Luffy is surprised to see Vivi kiss him. Luffy doesn't know what to do. He stays still until Vivi removes the kiss from his mouth.

Vivi knows now. Luffy doesn't like her. If she did, she would kiss him back. Vivi looked at the floor and now she feels sad and melancholy.

Luffy looked at Vivi, she looked sad. Luffy knows that Vivi must be sad because she didn't return the feeling. What else can you do? Vivi is her friend and she likes Nami, not Vivi.

Luffy placed a gentle hand on his shoulder and rubbed it. Vivi looked at Luffy.

"I'm sorry Vivi, but I only see you as a friend" Luffy said with his true feelings.

"I know," Vivi said. "I wouldn't have thought you liked me anyway."

"I'm sorry Vivi," Luffy apologized. "I hope this has nothing to do between the two of us."

"No, that's fine," Vivi said this time with a smile. "I'm ready for this to happen anyway."

Luffy smiled too and hugged her. Vivi smiled and hugged him back.

"I know who you liked anyway," Vivi said during the hug.

Luffy heard him and broke the hug.

"You do?" Luffy asked.

Vivi nodded.

"Of course," Vivi said.

"I hope you don't get mad at her or something. Because you'll see…" Luffy said.

"Okay," Vivi interrupted. "She's still my friend and she always will be. You all will be."

"Ah, all right then," Luffy nodded in agreement.

Vivi nodded, got up from the bed and walked out the door. When Vivi opened the door, she said, "Oh, and don't worry, she likes you too." This caught Luffy's attention, he turned to face her just in time as he left the room and closed the door.

Those last words of what Vivi said made Luffy happy. She put on her huge happy smile and went to shower.

As Vivi walked down the hall towards the girls' bathroom, she found Nami.

"Onde você esteve?" Nami perguntou. "Eu estive procurando por você."

"Oh, sorry," Vivi replied. "I just went out and took care of some things."

Nami smiled and then said, "Oh ok, now come on and let's take a shower." Nami grabbed Vivi's hand and dragged her to the bathroom.

Vivi tugged on Nami's hand, pulling Nami into a hug. Nami is surprised to see Vivi hugging her. It's kind of weird that Vivi hugs her all of a sudden. After the hug, Nami looked at Vivi when she saw her smile.

Vivi patted Nami on the shoulder and said, "You are a lucky girl." He then dragged her into the bathroom with a confused Nami.

The next morning, the Straw Hat Pirate waited for Vivi and Karu to join them. But Vivi made her decision and stayed in Alabasta for the good of her country. Even apart, they will remain friends forever.

Finally, Nami is the only girl on the ship and can tell Luffy the truth. It's true that he's waited all this time because he might be afraid that Vivi will also like Luffy and that the two girls will start a fight over the captain. Unfortunately, they have a new woman on the ship named Nico Robin. Nami thought that Robin wouldn't be interested in Luffy, so she decided to finish him off anyway. When Nami took Luffy to the bottom of the ship to tell him the truth about her feelings for him, they were interrupted. By a galleon falling from the sky.

Things soon got crazy when everyone started thinking about taking a cruise to Sky Island and off on another wild and cool adventure. The groups are obviously very excited about the whole thing and start getting all things Sky Island and the gold on their heads with no recollection of the past and what they were about to do. Of course, with the whole Sky Island thing and lots of gold, Nami's feelings for Luffy faded and brought her back to the original, cruel-hearted, money-loving Nami.

But after that the dangerous god Eneru came and defeated Zoro and Robin easily. Fear hits Nami because she expected Luffy to be there and protect her. From what Nami could tell, she remembered what she was about to do. Confessing to Luffy that she liked her after defeating Arlong to free her. Thanks to stupid gold and stupid Sky Island, Nami's feelings for Luffy left her. Eneru kidnapped Nami and brought her back to his ship.

At the same time that Nami was kidnapped by Eneru, Luffy got out of the snake's mouth and freed himself. He found Zoro, Robin and Chopper passed out from Eneru's attack. Robin wakes up first and tells her that Eneru has kidnapped Nami. Luffy angrily went to rescue her from the Dirty God.

At the same time, Nami on Eneru's ship tries to break free. There, Eneru tears Nami's shirt to reveal her in a bikini. He then tried to make love to her, but Nami refused and she said:

"No! Please! I've been saving this for someone special to me."

"For whom?" Eneru asked him with his face full and dirty.

"To... Luffy." he said quietly.

Eneru tried to do so anyway, but is stopped when Luffy arrives to rescue her. Nami freed herself from Eneri's grasp while Eneri and Luffy engaged in a one-on-one battle. Nami couldn't be happier; he saved her just in time before the sick, perverted God raped her. But things got messy as Luffy's right hand got caught in a giant golden ball and fell off Eneru's ship. Eneru got tired of her and tried to kill her with his lightning. But luckily the loving Sanji and the cowardly Usopp save her and she leaves the ship free.

When Nami broke free from Eneru, she climbed the giant stalk to tell Luffy to come back and was saved. But Luffy refused to go back because he had to ring the giant golden bell to prove the existence of the golden city. Nami helped Luffy fulfill his duty seeing that it was no use having a disagreement with him. Luffy finally rang the giant golden bell and saved Sky Island. Nami is happy to have saved the day again and she likes it more.

It's been a week since Luffy defeated Eneru and saved Sky Island. Now it's up to Nami to tell him the truth. But first he needs Robin's help.

"Umm Robin, can you come here for a sec?" Nami asked Robin.

Robin looked up from her reading book. "Sure, Miss Navigator, what's up?" Robin asked.

Nami approaches her and whispers something in her ear. As Robin listens, her face goes from a sigh to a smile. When Nami finished, Robin just nodded and agreed to help her.

"Luffy-kun, can you come with her for a sec?" Nami asked Luffy.

Luffy looks back from his favorite seat and jumps up to go to her. Nami is in the middle of the ship's deck with Usopp in the crow's nest, Zoro sleeping on the side of the deck, Robin reading his book in a chair next to Zoro, Chopper looking up at the sky in front, and Sanji in the kitchen looking at Nami's window.

"What's up Nami?" I ask her.

"Luffy, I have a confession to make," Nami said nervously.

Zoro woke up from his sleep and looked at the two people, Robin looked up from her book and smiled to herself, Chopper looked up to see Luffy and Nami, Sanji kept looking out the window and Usopp never took his eyes off the telescope. listening carefully.

"Which is?" Luffy asked directly.

"Well, you see... I... umm... well... the... fact is... I... like you," Nami said.

The others just stare at them for a while, Zoro doesn't care at first and goes back to sleep. Robin still maintains extreme caution since she promised Nami that she would help her. Usopp looked away from the telescope and stared at the two people. Chopper still looks at them emotionlessly.

"I like you too Nami. You know that," Luffy said with a smile.

"No, Luffy, you don't understand me. I mean, I like you a LOT," Nami said this time with concern.

Now this time everyone raise your eyebrows. Usopp from the crow's nest plucked out his eyes. Now he really knows that Nami liked Luffy more than friends. Sanji heard it from the kitchen and ran to the kitchen to look at Nami and Luffy. Robin smiled slightly this time and looked back to see Sanji. Prepare yourself in case of a sudden attack. Chopper gets up and walks over to the couple. Luffy looked at Nami for a second and then looked straight into her eyes. He understands what she really means. Nami looked Luffy straight in the eye and hoped that Luffy wouldn't do anything crazy to her. Luffy approaches Nami and Nami retreats a little. The others (except Zoro) took a closer look and didn't take their eyes off them. Luffy approaches Nami and kisses her directly on the lips. Nami was surprised that Luffy kissed her right on the mouth. Of course, this is her first kiss, maybe not Luffy's. And everyone will always say that the first kiss will be nice and it really is for her. Nami at first wants to kiss him back, but she doesn't know if Luffy wants to or not. She decides to take the risk and return the kiss. Luffy was surprised that Nami kissed him back, he expected Nami to punch or kick him or something. He also likes her, but he doesn't know how to show it, so he decided to kiss her and is happy that Nami likes her as much as he does.

After a few minutes of kissing and the dumbfounded crew staring at them, they finally took a break.

"I like you too Nami" Luffy said still holding her hand. "I never would have thought you liked me."

"Why do you say that, Luffy-kun?" Nami asked gently.

"Because you keep hitting me and telling me how stupid I am, so I guess you think I'm an idiot," Luffy said innocently.

"I'm sorry about Luffy-kun," Nami said. "I never thought you'd like it, so I punched you out of my anger."

"But I like you Nami. I never thought you'd like me," Luffy said.

"Well, I confessed to you, didn't I?" Nami asked with a smile.

"And I kissed you, didn't I?" Luffy asked with a smile.

The young couple looked at each other for a while and then this time Nami pulled Luffy's head up and kissed him. Luffy also kissed her playing his cute little game. The other watched with a smile as he saw that his two friends had finally found love. Usopp looked up from the crow's nest and just smiled seeing how good it was that they were finally reunited. Chopper smiled as he watched the couples smack their lips together in their usual awkward dance of expressions. Zoro is still sleeping and hasn't seen what's going on. Robin looked at the two happy people and smiled at them. Sanji, however, is trying to break free of Robin's hand to hit Luffy.

As the two couples kissed each other on the mouth and put their hands on each other hugging and stuff, both finally understood the meaning of love. Luffy is happy that the girl he always liked and thought would never return his feelings is finally his. And Nami is happy that the guy who is really nice, nice and friendly to her likes her too. And so it all began, the love that arises between the two happy young couples. From the first time they met to all the adventures they've shared to where they are now.
